Board Certified Pediatrician.
I joined Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders in 2011 and worked at a mobile clinic during the Great East Japan Earthquake, an HIV/Tuberculosis clinic in a slum in Kenya, a pediatric and neonatal clinic and a cholera centre after the flood in Pakistan, a clinic in a refugee camp in South Sudan, and an obstetric and neonatal hospital for Syrian refugees in Jordan.
I then worked as a tuberculosis consultant for epidemiological surveys and research at WHO Geneva and the Tuberculosis Research Institute in Japan.
In 2021ー2023, I studied Health Inequity and the Right to access health care, particularly for immigrants, refugees, children, and women, at Sciences Po Paris in France, and obtained a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action.

Ritsuko: Clinical Psychologist
After working at a counseling center and a psychiatric clinic, I founded the Tokyo MFT Center in 2005.
In 2011, I participated in an initial mental health support needs survey conducted by MSF after the Great East Japan Earthquake. I have continued to provide psychological support in disaster-damaged areas as a personal activity for 14 years.
I also provide group therapy for female victims of domestic violence and mindfulness meditation for people with mental health issues.
